On April 30, Governor Laura Kelly presented her detailed framework for gradually, safely re-opening Kansas. Phase One of “Ad Astra: A Plan to Reopen Kansas,” took effect on May 4, when the statewide stay-home order officially lifted. In Phase I, places of worship may have more than 10 people in a service at one time, as long as the following safety protocols are practiced:
Maintaining six-foot distance between individuals, with the exception of those who reside together.
Following deep cleaning and other public health guidelines.
Funerals and wedding receptions are subject to mass gathering restrictions -- groups no larger than 10 and six-foot distance between individuals.
